Heather loves teaching and choreographing for her community.

She joined dance faculty at The Boston Conservatory in 2022, and has been a guest instructor at Arizona State University, London Studio Center, Ballet RI, and Boston Conservatory SDI. Heather began teaching professional contemporary class in Boston in the summer of 2023.

Her classes are deeply influenced by anatomy, angular momentum, and dynamic weight shifts. Heather encourages her peers to fight for rigor in both physicality and musicality, maintain fullness in the face of uncertainty or failure, and to approach movement in a way that is supported by the anatomic and emotional structure of their bodies.

As a choreographer, Heather has collaborated on projects with Cirque du Soleil and HBO. She has been asked to create work for films, award shows, and benefit concerts. In 2024, Heather was commissioned to create a new work for Maine Dance Company.
