Inspired by George Orwell’s novel 1984, this piece delves into the complex responses of individuals living under oppressive systems. It asks us to reflect on the choices we make in the face of injustice - Do we turn a blind eye to wrongdoing to protect ourselves and our loved ones? How long can we maintain ignorance before it ensnares us? Dancers navigate the tension between self-preservation and moral awareness, apathy and empathy, as well as individualism and collectivism, illuminating the fragile balance between survival and complicity in a world that frequently demands silence.
