HEATHER EASLEY
movement artist.
EDUCATOR/CHOREOGRAPHER
Heather finds an abundance of joy in teaching and choreographing. She started her journey as an educator guest teaching and choreographing at local studios in 2016. Heather continued as a guest, teaching in studios across the country throughout college before joining resident staff at a pre-professional, youth ballet school, in 2020, where she ran the school's contemporary department. Heather joined Dance Division faculty at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2022 working with both Commercial and Contemporary majors. Her classes are heavily influenced by rigorous movement, anatomy, and angular momentum - meaning, in class, students will be asked to challenge themselves to move fully, learn how to use their bodies efficiently, and tap into the natural spiral sensation that inherently exists within our bodies. Heather's choreography has been awarded across the country. Her students hold titles in Top 12 Contemporary YAGP, and her works have been nominated Best Contemporary for the Industry Dance Awards in 2022 and 2023. She has choreographed for benefit shows at universities across the country. Most recently, Heather was asked to create a piece for a collaboration show with The Boston Conservatory and Cirque du Soleil.
