HEATHER EASLEY
movement artist.
Heather Easley is a movement artist semi-based in Boston, and traveling through the US and Europe. She holds a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she was a scholarship recipient. Heather has performed works by Loni Landon, Hofesh Shechter, Joseph Toonga, Jun Kuribayashi as Hybridmotion, and others. She's had the privilege of training with Jirí Pokorný, Anton Lachky, Eric Beauchesne and companies such as Hofesh Shechter Company, Gallim, Batsheva, BODYTRAFFIC, and Crystal Pite's Kidd Pivot.
Along with performing, Heather is an educator & choreographer for youth students, pre-professionals, and professionals. She teaches regularly at youth programs throughout the country and joined the Dance Division faculty at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2022 teaching in both Contemporary and Commercial Dance majors.
Along with studio work, Heather brings her talents to Arts Administration - specifically in Program Development and Direction. Heather stands as the Artistic Administrator for Hybridmotion Dance Theatre. She has created and developed programs such as BPMI Dance, the Hybridmotion Training Program, and co/motion dance + movement intensive, as well as been a guest administrator for outside organizations such as GALLIM.

2021-2023
CO/MOTION
Heather has attended co/motion as a participant each year since its inception. Her training included Somatic Ballet and Contemporary Partnering from Adrian Hoffman, Upside Down and Contemporary Partnering from Jun Kuribayashi, Contemporary classes from Mike Tyus, Jamila Glass, Mark Caserta, and Nicole Von Arx. Additional programming included Creative Process by Shawn Ahern, Dance for Film by Joy Isabella Brown, creating and choreographing short solo and group films, as well as creating a dance film choreographed and directed by Jamila Glass.
2020
GALLIM WINTER INTENSIVE
Heather worked closely with Andrea Miller in GALLIM METHODS, creative process, professional development, and GALLIM Rep. She also worked on "No Ordinary Love" from Duets for Jim under Emma Thesing and Marc Anthony Gutierrez, and a new creative work by Gary Reagan. Additional classes included Clowning, Flying Low, and Vogueing. Heather attended the GALLIM Winter Intensive as a work-study Administrative Assistant.
2017-2020
THE BOSTON CONSERVATORY AT BERKLEE
With studies in ballet technique, codified modern techniques, improvisation, jazz, African, unconventional movement, acrobatics, and composition, mixed with academic studies of dance history, anatomy, Alexander Technique, and more, Heather's technique and understanding of dance grew immensely during her time here. Heather feels lucky to have studied with such wonderful professors such as Joy Davis, Kurt Douglas, Jun Kuribayashi, Marcus Schulkind, and many more.
2019
THE HENNY JURRIENS SCHOOL
At the Henny Jurriens School, Heather was able to study multiple styles under many choreographers and instructors. She greatly valued her training with artists such as Jirí Pokorný, Anton Lachky, Stephen Pier, and Amy Raymond, as well as others. During her time in Amsterdam, Heather saught out companies and was able to train closely with Hofesh Shechter Company, Batsheva, and Crystal Pite's Kidd Pivot.
2011-2017
PINNELL DANCE CENTER
This was Heather's early dance education. During her time here, Heather was able to rigorously study many styles and perform on a regular basis. She participated in multiple benefit concerts for Nationwide Childrens Hospital and was able to train closely with Lauren Adams, Amanda Phillips-Bosshart, Martha Nichols, Kristin Sudeikis, Travis Wall, and more
